Quotations and orders

All quotations are subject to change, with or without notice, unless otherwise agreed. All orders are accepted subject to strikes, accidents, and other unavoidable delays. No orders are accepted unless properly ratified by our order department.

Payment in the United States

Orders are taken using Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cashier’s checks, or money orders. Personal checks are not accepted.

Payment in Canada

No COD orders are accepted for Canada. Canadian orders must be paid by Visa, MasterCard, or Discover; the card company handles the exchange rate. Checks are not accepted. For non-card orders, please call for wire-payment details.

Sales tax

Men-Wood Coatings is required by law to collect applicable state and local Michigan taxes. Customers must have a sales-tax exemption certificate on file to avoid state sales-tax charges. Sales tax is charged unless otherwise indicated.

Returns

A 20% restocking charge applies to all returns. Returns require a return authorization number from Men-Wood Coatings and must be returned freight prepaid within 30 days of purchase.

Product must be in resale condition. Credit may be refused and the product disposed of if it is not.

Delivery and shipping

All terms are F.O.B. Hillsdale or Holland, Michigan, via UPS to contiguous states. Next-day air freight is available. Common carrier is typically the most economical method for heavier shipments. Charges are F.O.B. shipping point.

Shipping damage

Merchandise is packed to meet carrier requirements. Claims for transit loss or damage must be made by the customer directly with the carrier. Unpack and inspect shipments immediately.

If damage appears after unpacking, request a carrier inspection and file a claim. Note visible loss or damage on the freight bill and have the agent sign it; otherwise the carrier may refuse the claim.

Purchasing options before shipment

Before shipment to a business address or customer, Men-Wood Coatings requires one of the following purchasing options: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, COD by cashier’s check or money order only, expedited payment by USPS Priority Mail, UPS or FedEx, or bank wire transfer for orders over $4,000.

Warranty and disclaimer

Because Men-Wood Coatings does not control the use of its products, no express warranties extend beyond the description on the containers. The seller disclaims implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Men-Wood Coatings is not responsible for consequential or indirect damages. No warranty applies when products are altered or modified after delivery. The buyer assumes all risk and liability in the use of these applications.
