Log Cabin Restaurant Sold Its Millionth Slice of Pie

Father and son in Log Cabin RestaurantBusinesses often celebrate various events that occur in its run: anniversaries, excellent sales, and even promotions. However, some milestones go unnoticed and that was exactly the case when the general manager of Log Cabin Restaurant, that specializes on pie, checked its annual sales on the computer system they use for accounting.

Turns out the 20-year-old business, opened by Todd and Mary Wyss on Baraboo’s east side, made it’s millionth pie sale last December. By the time they found out, it was too late to commemorate the sale, maybe through a great deal for the lucky customer.

Three full-time bakers make 15 different pies, 25 during holidays, and breads daily. The Log Cabin sells about 12 pies a day and about 50,000 to 60,000 a year. They do hope that “Log Cabin’s popularity – and word of its fresh-baked pies – spreads so it won’t take 20 years to sell another million slices.
