Log Cabin on Michigan Lake a Light and Airy Home

A 1920s log cabin on a quiet lake near Brighton, Michigan has broken the typical mold of log cabin homes being, although cozy, dark and with limited lighting.

According to, the “previous homeowner used a superlight gray paint to cover every log surface inside the house, including the vaulted wood-plank ceiling, the space is far from dark.” In fact, it was described as “light and airy”. Vintage chandeliers, aside from adding style, provide ample lighting to the home.

The couple who now own the property refer to their home as “The Caddy Shack” as it was once used as summer quarters for golf caddies who worked on the area that used a golf course
